Ukraine International Airlines is the first airline in Ukraine to operate an international freighter
On July 9, 2008 the first Boeing 737-300SF freighter aircraft of Ukraine International Airlines operated Kiev-Vienna-Kiev commercial flight.

During the first six months of 2008 Ukraine International Airlines increased the number of passengers carried by 25%
UIA carried 760 000 passengers in the first 6 months of 2008. This was 25% more than in the same period of the previous year.

UIA making confident strides into the era of e-tickets
May 31, 2008 will see licensed travel agencies worldwide, which use to administer ticket sales through Billing Settlement Plan (BSP) under the auspices of International Air Transport Association (IATA), issue paper tickets for the last time.

Ukraine International Airlines signs cooperation agreement with Football Federation of Ukraine
On 16 May 2008, Ukraine International Airlines signed a five-year cooperation agreement with Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU). According to this agreement UIA becomes FFU’s official air carrier partner.
