Checked Baggage

Economy Class passengers are permitted up to 20 kg of checked baggage, and our Business Class customers are allowed up to 40 kg, subject to a maximum weight of 23 kg for any one piece.

On all flights to/from and within the USA and Canada, no more than two pieces of baggage are allowed (max. weight of one piece – 23 kg/48 lbs; max. dimensions – 158 cm/62 inches).

Excess baggage (maximum 23 kg per one piece) will be carried subject to space being available and on payment of the appropriate excess baggage charge. The cost is approx USD 15 / EUR 10 per kilo depending on the route.

Connecting to a ‘Low Cost Carrier’?

If you are connecting to an airline such as Ryanair, EasyJet, Air Berlin, etc. you will be subject that airlines baggage regulations. Many ‘Low Cost Carriers’ now charge up to EUR 10 per checked bag and have varying rules on cabin baggage- for information visit the airlines web site.

Extra charges may apply if you wish to transport items such as live animals, sports equipment, musical instruments; bicycles; fragile and valuable items. Please contact the travel agent making your booking; the nearest Ukraine International Airlines office or use click Contact Us.

Carry-on baggage

Passengers are allowed one piece of carry-on baggage of not more than 10 kg in Business Class and for Panorama Club members, and not more than 7 kg in Economy Class. The sum of the dimensions of carry-on baggage may not exceed 115 cm (55x 45 x 20cm). In addition, you may take the following items into the cabin: woman’s handbag or folder for documents; printed materials for reading during the flight; baby food; umbrella or walking stick; coat or cloak; crutches, if necessary; camera, video camera or laptop.

If you are flying from of via an airport in the United Kingdom you are only allowed ONE piece of hand baggage- no exceptions.
